ICE agents are using aggressive tactics in recent operations, and two Charlotte residents are now at the center of a controversial arrest. After an attempt to warn others of a neighbor being kidnapped, the agents turned their attention to citizens in a locked car. As onlookers recorded the incident, they were shocked to witness an unnecessary use of force against innocent people.
The video, filmed by a neighbor across the street, shows ICE agents surrounding a white SUV. While their conversation is barely audible, the person recording says, “He’s [the ICE agent] breaking the window.” As the video zooms in, the ICE agent holds his weapon to the window, threatening the North Carolina resident sitting inside the vehicle.
When the driver refuses to get out of the car, the ICE agent starts smashing his weapon against the window. After a few moments, the door opens, and the agents make the arrest. The entire thing was a terrifying sight to neighbors, who looked on in disbelief at the reckless behavior of ICE agents.
On Reddit, users watching the video demanded repercussions for nearly endangering another’s life. “This dude needs to be in jail before he causes more harm,” one user says. Another replies, “My dude, have you seen them use the batons? They can’t even use those right.” Another commented on the level of ignorance and aggregation, saying, “They’ve just hired a bunch of meathead and abusers and said go for it, guys. It’s very, very scary.”
The utter impulsiveness of the ICE agent is what shocked most people watching the video, and for good reason. One netizen noted, “This is how you negligently discharge a firearm and kill someone. No professional would think of ever doing this, especially with a [expletive] baton IN YOUR POCKET. This dude needs to be in jail before he causes more harm.” Elsewhere, another chimed in with,“This guy has absolutely zero clue what he’s doing. Using your barrel for this is so wildly irresponsible. It’s up there with hammering nails with a grenade,”. A final commenter noted, “If there is any internal hierarchy responsible for oversight of agents, they need to fire this moron before he kills a citizen.”
