In the latest twist of music drama, Chris Brown and Jeremih are in PartyNextDoor’s crosshairs. The drama began on July 28, after Brown, Jeremih, and Bryson Tiller unleashed their latest collaboration, Wait On It, with an accompanying music video. Surprisingly, the video featured an appearance from PartyNextDoor’s ex, Desma. The Canadian rapper wasn’t happy about it and took to social media to slam the artists. “I’m finna make these n***a’s cry…Bryson Chris; and Jeremih…enjoy, the nights, of your life,” he wrote in a since-deleted tweet.
In another deleted tweet, PartyNextDoor also called out his ex-partner. He alleged that her appearance in the video was a money grab. “Doing videos, at 34, that bitch broke,” he shared. Hours after the record producer shared and deleted the tweets, Brown took to social media to respond. In a tweet, Chris Brown revealed PartyNextDoor’s reaction was a case of speaking without thinking. He claimed the Toronto native later reached out to his friends to clear the air, but his attempts fell short.
“N***as speak without thinking sometimes…then call around to my people to retract s**t. NAW N***A, go on your socials and apologize, or keep the same energy when you see me. 😊” Brown wrote.
Not long after, Jeremih also reacted to the tweets. Taking to Instagram, he reposted DJ Akademiks’s repost of PartyNextDoor’s deleted tweets and captioned it, “Mih fault if I double tapp… 🤷🏾♂…”
The Shade Room reposted the Chris Brown, Jeremih, and PartyNextDoor drama, sparking many reactions from fans. Many slammed PartyNextDoor’s comments about his ex, Desma. “Calling someone broke but getting mad at how she gets money is hilarious😂,” one fan wrote. Another perplexed fan commented, “I’m so lost on what the issue is. She can’t work cuz she’s his ex? What am I missing?” A third fan remarked, “I’m confused, isn’t that a working opportunity for her? Sounds controlling and makes sense as to why he is her ex.” Meanwhile, some other fans said PartyNextDoor made a huge mistake calling out Brown, as the latter wasn’t someone to mess with.
