Chris Pratt is trading in his clean-cut Hollywood image for a rugged new look, and fans can’t stop talking about it. On Friday, June 6, the 45-year-old actor took to Instagram to share a behind-the-scenes video from the set of “The Terminal List” Season 2, revealing a dramatically different appearance. Sporting long, curly hair, a thick mustache, and a full, bushy beard, Pratt looked almost unrecognizable while taking a break from filming the action-packed Amazon Prime Video series.
“I just wanted to say, isn’t this hair and makeup incredible?” Chris Pratt told his followers, marveling at his on-set transformation. “My team does such an awesome job.” The “Guardians of the Galaxy” star, who plays Navy SEAL James Reece in the show, teased viewers with blood-covered hands (thanks to some very realistic special effects makeup) and revealed that most of his new look isn’t even real. “They do such great makeup and such great hair,” he said, pointing to his facial hair. “And this mustache’s hair is like a wig. It’s a fake beard. It looks freaking incredible.”
Chris Pratt’s Beard Bit Steals the Show
But the actor didn’t stop there. In classic Chris Pratt fashion, he added a bit of comic relief to the otherwise gritty scene. “The crazy thing about wearing a fake mustache or a fake beard is when you eat, you get hair in your mouth, which is gross, because it’s definitely someone else’s hair,” he joked. “You don’t know whose or where it came from… You don’t think it’s… No. Is it someone’s pubes?”
“Anyway, I don’t care. I’m hungry,” Pratt concluded, diving into his lunch and leaving fans both amused and slightly disturbed. Followers quickly flooded the comments with reactions to his dramatic makeover, with one writing, “Castaway 2: Wilson’s Revenge,” and another quoting his hilarious line, “‘Is it someone’s pubes?!’” A third commented, “That’s not Chris Pratt, that’s Big Lebowski.”
The “Terminal List,” based on the novels by Jack Carr, follows Navy SEAL James Reece as he returns home from a covert mission with conflicting memories and a whole lot of unanswered questions. Season one featured an all-star cast including Constance Wu, Taylor Kitsch, and Riley Keough, and season two is expected to dive deeper into Reece’s dangerous world, this time pulling inspiration from Carr’s follow-up novel “True Believer.” With bloodied hands, a wild new look, and that signature Pratt humor, it’s safe to say season two is off to an unforgettable start.
