Chrisean Rock won’t be holding her son in her hands anytime soon. The rapper was sentenced to jail following her surprise arrest last week in California. Rock got scooped up by authorities on June 10 at a courthouse in the San Fernando Valley on a felony fugitive warrant. Now, more details have come to light about the situation, and the future looks grim for the television personality.
The court sentenced Rock to 30 days in jail and 12 months’ probation. However, she will receive five days of credit for time served since her arrest. The outstanding arrest warrant was related to a November 2023 altercation at Tamar Braxton’s concert. Recall that the 24-year-old allegedly attacked backup dancer James Wright backstage during the Love and War anniversary tour. The incident blew up on social media. Braxton publicly slammed Rock, and Wright sued her for assault, battery, and emotional distress.
As part of her probation conditions, the Baddies star must stay 100 yards from Wright and the Lucky Strike bowling alley, where the fight happened. In addition, the mother-of-one cannot use or possess any dangerous or deadly weapons during the probation period. Although a month behind bars doesn’t seem like a long time, Rock’s legal troubles are far from over. Per TMZ, Rock is set to be extradited to Oklahoma once her issues in California are resolved. Over there, she is facing some drug charges, and her sentence could be harsher.
Blueface’s Mom Laments Bad Timing Of Chrisean’s Sentence
With Rock heading to jail and her baby daddy Blueface currently behind bars until July 2024, their son’s well-being is of concern. According to Blueface’s mom, Karlissa Saffold, the legal system is disrupting her family. The matriarch lamented the timing of Rock’s arrest and sentence, saying it was unnecessary for authorities to take the female rapper into custody while she was in court to support Blueface.
Amid both parents’ absence, Chrisean Jr., who is about eight months old, is now in the custody of one of Rock’s friends. However, Blueface’s mom believes her grandson will be better off with her and is fighting the judge about the infant’s living conditions. She plans to hold down the fort until either Rock or Blueface is released.
