Christian Bale, one of the most iconic Batman actors, has recently spoken out about Robert Pattinson’s future portrayal of the Dark Knight. Not only this, but he’s also given a tip in how to embody a superhero. With Bale having played one of the most memorable versions of the masked hero, who better to acquire tips from? And with the current state of the DC Universe, its likely Pattinson will need it. Though, this tip probably won’t shoot DC to any Marvel standard anytime soon. While talking with Variety at TIFF 2019, the Dark Knight trilogy star shared some advice for the upcoming role:
“Oh, Same as for Ben, just be able to pee by yourself. You don’t feel much like a superhero when you can’t take a piss by yourself.”
Fair enough. For those who wonder how superheroes go to the bathroom in their tight lycra suits, there you have it – with great difficulty. Hopefully, now Pattinson can focus on bad guys rather than breaking into a sweat in how to relieve himself. But Bale’s view on Pattinson doesn’t end there. In the same interview, Bale remarks Pattinson as a:
“Good choice! He’s interesting.”
As usual, a short, but snappy comment by the versatile actor. Much like Bale, Pattinson has also the versatility when it comes to the big screen. Having both stared in emotional heavy films, as well big blockbuster hits, with notably Pattinson as Edward Cullen in Twilight, hopefully, like Bale, this new Batman will bring some versatility to the role. Also, the fact that Bale remarks that Pattinson is ‘interesting’, could be an illusion to the fact that the previous Batman, Ben Affleck didn’t quite have the skillset compared to both Bale and the soon to be 40th actor to play the Bat. But it’s important not to read into these quotes to much. At the end of the day, it seems like Robert Pattinson is a good pick, at least to Christian Bale.
