As the saying goes, “mess around and you’ll find out.” Of course, the original saying has some profanity, but it’s all the same. Basically, you’ll find out for yourself the consequences of something just by doing it. It seems that some college students decided to test that theory out for themselves when they decided to take shots with a flame together in a dorm room with carpeted floors. It’s good that the internet is an archive, or it might not have made it to Reddit.
The video depicts several college students seated around a coffee table while holding shot glasses. The glasses are topped off with a flame for a bit of a cooler experience. Before they could even toast and drink, things go immediately wrong. One of the students puts his glass on the table, which sets a different liquid on fire. At the same moment, another student who had already taken a swig immediately spits it out, momentarily breathing fire at a third student who drops his glass on the carpet.
Everything happens simultaneously, and I urge you to watch the video and pay attention to a different student each time. Fortunately, no one was seriously injured and nothing was burned, but commenters definitely took the time out of their day to roast the students for their actions.

Other commenters were a bit more morbid, sharing stories of similar events where things took a bit more of a morbid turn.
“A guy on my ship did this and burnt his sinus cavities out so bad that they got infected and when it moved to his brain he died.”
By the time the video ends, the flame is put out, and no one seems to be so injured that an ambulance needs to be called. Still, hopefully, this is a wake-up call to these students to look up how to take these types of shots before deciding to do one in an enclosed space like a dorm room.
