Unfortunately, it’s incredibly difficult for a woman to go out at night without fearing for their own safety and the safety of other women around them. There have just been far too many instances in which a woman is attacked or harassed in some way that it simply feels impossible to feel safe. For one Colorado woman, she knew exactly who to go to after her friend had been attacked during a night out: her husband.
Not only did this woman’s husband come to the rescue, but their Uber driver even made sure that they got to the front door safely before letting them out of his sight. It’s horrible knowing that there are people out there willing to attack others just because they can.
The above video was posted to the TikTok account @christinarose315, which belongs to a woman named Danielle Vigil, according to the profile. The wife and mother of three was documenting her and her friend’s outing after months of planning, arranging childcare, and spacing out schedules. Unfortunately, things took a turn for the worse on the very first night of their plans.
In the video, which appears to be taken from the point of view of a doorbell camera, Danielle details within the caption that, “My best friend was assaulted. We were drugged and she was full-body punched in the face by a man.” You can see both her and her friend staggering towards the door with a man who was later identified as their Uber driver. However, the moment Danielle’s husband opened the door to the sight, he took action.
The video then cuts to various security camera clips from within the house of Danielle’s husband carrying the two of them upstairs, cleaning them up, and putting them to bed. According to the caption, “He didn’t sleep. He checked on us for hours. He got up with the kids the next morning.“
Colorado Man Sets Perfect Example for Men Everywhere
A different video posted to Danielle’s account details the situation a bit more, and how the girls must have had their drinks spiked since they cannot remember most of the evening. Commenters were quick to jump into the replies and praise her husband for being a prime example of what safety within a home looks like. One person even said, “I want a man who loves my friends as much as I do 🥺.”
It’s wonderful that both Danielle and her friend had someone like that to look after them at their most vulnerable. Many of the comments agree, with one of the most liked saying, “We love your husband. He is a good man, and great example.” Hopefully, this is something that the two never have to experience ever again.
