A Colorado mother claimed on TikTok that her son was scratched by a 9-year-old girl, leading to the mother taking the girl aside and reprimanding her. She then posted the video on social media in an attempt to teach about personal space.

TikTok user Theehiatus_ says she had taken her teenage son and his girlfriend to SkyZone. A 9-year-old child had allegedly put her hands on both teens. She said the girl, who “doesn’t look like them,” tried to “intimidate them” and scratched them.

Theehiatus immediately took action by confronting the child and her mother. She tells the 9-year-old what she did was “assault,” but clarifies she isn’t going to report her. However, she does tell her, “I think you need to learn the severity of your actions.”

According to Theehiatus, the girl’s mother didn’t handle the confrontation well. She told her, “She’s just a 9-year-old girl. I don’t think she intended to hurt anyone.”

When the 9-year-old tries to butt in and add her thoughts to the conversation, Theehiatus demands, “Why did you put your hands on him? You don’t know him to put your hands on my child.”

Theehiatus believes the little girl had a more nefarious plan in mind: to “intimidate” her teenage son and his girlfriend and use “white privilege” to do so. Now, the question dividing her viewers is: Did this mom do the right thing or did she take things too far?

Theehiatus’s viewers urge her to press charges

For the most part, Theehiatus’s viewers were on her side and even went as far as to insist she press charges on both the 9-year-old and her mother. “The way the mom shushed her daughter as she was exposing herself tells me all that I need to know. Press charges. The mom and the daughter both need to be taught a lesson.”

One comment argued it was the lack of parents teaching their kids discernment and “values they should seek out in friends.” They added, “Parents let their kids act like jerks.”

Others felt the same way as Theehiatus, arguing what she did was right. “Yall give too much grace if it was the other way around it would end very differently let me keep scrolling😭.”

One viewer had an alternative in mind. “Yeah don’t yell at my kid unless you’re family or friend. I’ll do that! You tell the mom how you feel.”

The debate continues on Theehiatus’s TikTok video continues. Additionally, she plans to add a second video, stating she’ll be adding the entire conversation on her TikTok.
