You will be able to get your hands on Conan Unconquered one day earlier than originally planned. Developer Petroglyph and publisher Funcom surprised fans with the announcement that the real-time strategy game will now be available Wednesday, May 29th.
Lawrence Poe, Chief Product Officer at Funcom said,
We’re eagerly looking forward to launch and to getting Conan Unconquered into the hands of players. The game has really come together and although the skill cap is high, it’s tremendously fun to play.”
Conan Unconquered plays similarly to that of Command and Conquer and it makes sense because the team behind it are veterans of the series.
While Conan will put you in charge of an army, you will also be able to control a singular hero to lead that army into battle.
The game will feature multiplayer and pit you against other players, but one of the most interesting and unique aspects of the game is having you and another person play together online while working as a team to defeat enemies. However, you will both share resources and most of the buildings found inside your base.
Multiplayer is an important part of Conan Unconquered. Not only can you team up with a friend against the attacking enemies, you can also challenge other players on the leaderboards.”
The leaderboards are apart of challenge mode and allow you to share a link of the map, settings, and feats of a game. Thus, you can challenge other players to see if they can beat your end score.
You will find more information on the multiplayer aspect of the game below.
Along with the announcement the game is releasing a day early, the team released the system requirements for Conan to run on PC.
Good news everyone! Conan Unconquered launches one day early! The release date has been moved from May 30th to May 29th.
