We’ve all heard the phrase, “not all heroes wear capes,” and one Connecticut dog has become the living evidence. Sarah McCardle, from Milford, Connecticut, shared how her boxer dog rescued her French bulldog. It all happened because Yogi, the French bulldog, started having a seizure. However, Reggie, the boxer, instead of just looking on, he rolled his friend over and started helping Yogi. Due to these actions, Yogi was unharmed. What could’ve been a sad ending for the Milford family ended up being a story that shocked the whole nation.
The video comes from the Inside Edition YouTube channel and shows the footage from McCardle’s home. In it, we can see Yogi having a seizure. As you may or may not know, French bulldogs are a fragile breed with many issues, mainly respiratory ones. If French bulldogs have a seizure, they can breathe in their own saliva.
Reggie quickly noticed this and proceeded to roll Yogi over. At that moment, Reggie started to push Yogi with his paws as if he were trying to resuscitate the dog with CPR-like moves. According to McCardle, when she arrived at her home, she found Yogi blue in the face and with difficulty breathing and walking. However, he was still alive thanks to Reggie’s action that allowed Yogi to cough a bit and prevent him from breathing in his saliva.
Naturally, this story shocked the nation, and many had a lot of things to say on the matter.

“Boxers are so intelligent and emotional ❤ He clearly loves his little friend so much 🐾” – @neonstreetlife via YouTube.
Ultimately, it is great to see that this story had a happy ending. While it was certainly scary for Sarah, Reggie, and especially Yogi, the whole family is okay. In addition, Sarah told KTSM 9 news that Reggie got a big steak for dinner, which he certainly earned.
