Connecticut Twitch Streamer Bans 15-Year-Old for Donating $36,000: ‘Who Gave That Child So Much Money To Spend Wthhh 😭’

These people must be living on a different (and better) plane of existence…

While privacy is important, every parent of a teenager knows it’s crucial to have a solid understanding of what their child is up to on their PC or smart device, especially in this day and age. Unfortunately, the parents of one 15-year-old child were too late, as the poor decision to donate over $36,000 to Connecticut Twitch streamer Clix had already been made.

The Teenager Donates to Feed His ‘Addiction’

This isn’t the minor’s first rodeo in excessive donations, either. Allegedly, the teen had also spent $35,000 on other streamers as well. For what reason, you might ask? “Addictive dopamine rushes” when his Twitch idols call out his name. In a clip reported courtesy of Daily Mail, the teenager’s parents are financially well off, and he even makes several thousand dollars from his own personal gig. Still, spending well over an ordinary annual worth in salary for streamer donations is outrageous, to say the least.

“Who gave that child so much money to spend wthhh 😭” exclaims a Reddit commenter in disbelief. It’s hard enough to get by these days, with the tariffs, rising prices, or falling wages, but to hear about a minor using their own and likely parents’ money to make streamers say their name in Twitch Chat is quite absurd news. “Some people have too much damn monaayy,” remarks another Redditor. “36,000 is an insane amount to be spending how is no guardian checking up on him,” adds a third.

To think, a child somewhere is giving away over half a 100 grand to strangers on the internet — and the parents are okay with it? I wouldn’t believe it. Unless the parents are into the ‘money burning’ as well with their own exorbitant spending, there are plenty of better things the boy could be spending that money on — his future, (better) hobbies, investments, just to name a few.

Understandably, some people are doing surprisingly well financially in 2025, the year of our gracious MAGA lord, but as one Reddit user puts it: “Kid donated my yearly salary to a streamer over the course of a month… Jesus Christ.” These affluent people certainly exist in different worlds from the average.
