Remedy’s lineup of titles are ones brimming with uniqueness and passion, with many features of their games unrivaled to this day. Alan Wake is easily the best-known one, but Quantum Break is another wonderful title from them. That’s not even mentioning the original Max Payne titles (before 3). Nothing is better known as of late though than Control. Following a year on the Epic Games Store, Remedy is ready to introduce the game to Steam users. Control Ultimate Edition releases on August 27th for Steam with PS4, Xbox One, and the Epic Games Store getting it on September 10th. You can find the trailer for the Ultimate Edition below.

Control Ultimate Edition takes everything the original game has, along with the two DLCs, and puts it into one package. Everything the game has to offer is part of the edition, making it the best way for new players to experience Control. The Ultimate Edition offers an upgrade to Xbox Series X and PS5 for Xbox One and PS4 owners. For those who have purchased Control and its DLCs in the past, unfortunately, this offer isn’t available to you.

It’s a very good game so if you can pick it up, even without the Ultimate Edition, it’s a purchase you won’t regret. Control follows the story of Jesse Faden, entering the Oldest House in search of her long lost brother. What she finds there is chaos, and it’s up to her to restore order with the previous Director now dead. With many abilities at her disposal, her Service Weapon in hand, and an entity in her head, Jesse must fight if she or anyone else is to survive.

Control is available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. The Ultimate Edition will be available for all three platforms over the next month. What do you think of the decision to not make the Standard Edition have Smart Delivery for next-gen consoles? If you’ve played Control, did you love it as much as I did?
