Controlling California Wife Learns Lesson After Find My iPhone App Glitch, ‘Whoever is Encouraging This Behavior is Also Insane’

You know what assuming means

Far too many people rely on technology to guide them in the right direction when they need evidence that their partner is cheating on them. It demonstrates that current generations struggle to communicate effectively with one another when something seems amiss. One California woman was all too open with social media about her controlling behavior and how, ultimately, it backfired on her. Now, viewers are weighing in with similar stories and calling out the controlling behavior that led her here.

I use to have the worst relationship anxiety

Natalie Cannoli (@nataliecannoli_ on TikTok) shared her story with social media about how, at one point, she “used to have the worst relationship anxiety.” She used this as an excuse for what she did next: she used the Find My iPhone feature from Apple to check if her husband was cheating on her. Apparently, Natalie thinks she was justified in doing this because they were going through a “rocky” period. She thought her husband might be cheating on her instead of appearing at work in the morning.

Natalie went on to say, “One time, my husband got a new job, and I was really insecure at the time… Anyway, I checked his location at like 8am, which is when he was supposed to clock into work. And I just wanted to make sure he was at work.” She then illustrated that her husband wasn’t showing up at work on the Find My iPhone feature but that, instead, he was at a location nearby. Natalie then “found out what the address was of the house that said he was at. Found out, and then I went through… and then I went on Facebook and I found all of his co-workers’ names.”

While sleuthing, she found a girl whom she suspected was cheating with. She said, “So I found her Facebook, and I know that she bought a house recently. And I’m like, of course.” She knew in her heart that she must have purchased the house across the street from their job and that’s where her husband was at that time. However, just to verify, she did one more crazy move and looked up the house sale on her realtor’s Instagram and found that her husband’s female co-worker ‘liked’ the photo of the sale, so it must be her, right?

Natalie was in for a surprise, though. It turns out the Find My iPhone app was imply bugging out, as apps often do. Her husband was actually at work where he said he would be. It was ultimately, a lack of trust.

One commenter admitted they, too, became an internet sleuth like Natalie when Find My iPhone wasn’t working as it should be. She explained, “My man’s location was in a wooded area behind his job. I was crashing out. Then I FT him and he was just sitting at his desk.” Another pointed out that this behavior isn’t cute or funny. They said, “Whoever is encouraging this behavior is also insane and will never have a healthy relationship ever.”

The truth is, if you can’t have a healthy conversation with your partner, there may be an underlying issue. That kind of insecurity doesn’t justify stalking through an app. This is all-around unhealthy behavior, and realizing that is the best step in moving forward. Hopefully, Natalie understands that now.
