Control will receive its first content update tonight in the Expeditions mode. The end game mode will feature a new arena mode and challenges to beat.
Control is the third-person shooter from Remedy Entertainment, creators of Alan Wake and Max Payne. The game follows Jesse, who has arrived at the Federal Bureau of Control to uncover the mysteries surrounding her and her missing brother.
Expeditions Mode Adds New Combat Arenas
The Expeditions mode is the first piece of downloadable content for Control. In the Expeditions Mode, the player will take on the enemy Hiss in four areas. The Expeditions mode will become available after the player finishes the main mission of My Brother’s Keeper.
In order to play an Expedition, you must have a Jukebox Token. These tokens are unlocked by completing Bureau Alerts, Board Countermeasures and more. They are also craftable, and completing any Expedition will reward with more Tokens as well.
To finish each Expedition, you will have to complete a series of challenges. The challenges range in difficulty, and also will have to be completed in a certain amount of time. If the player fails to finish an Expedition in the allotted amount of time or complete the challenges, they will lose the Jukebox Token they used.
The Expeditions mode will come as a free update to Control, available for download tonight.
Remedy Announces Date for First Paid DLC
