Controversial Anti-Vaccine Poster in Florida Healthcare Office Sparks Outrage: ‘I Wouldn’t Trust a Single Thing About Them’

Quite the conversation starter in an office

A controversial poster seen at a Miami chiropractor’s office in Florida is sparking outrage online for its anti-vaccination stance. It asks, “How Many Vaccines Will Your Child Get?” followed by a lengthy list of the shots children typically receive before becoming teenagers. The poster’s claim of these important vaccinations as being “Too Many” became both a sharp point of criticism and a laughingstock on Reddit.

Uploaded by user printThisAndSmokeIt to r/pics and r/Miami, the photo of the anti-vaxx poster accumulated almost 15K upvotes, with plenty more views. The Reddit user doesn’t provide any additional context, aside from noting that the people reacting to the poster aren’t necessarily “pro-vaccine,” but “pro-evidence and scientific method.”

The Majority of Comments Accused the Chiropractor of Having No Authority On Vaccinations

Take one scroll through the comments, and it’s not hard to see thousands criticizing the chiropractor’s views, along with the accusations against chiropractic as a valid medical practice. “Real medical professionals actually understand how vaccines work,” remarked a Redditor. “If you needed any more evidence that chiropractors are quacks, there it is,” pointed out another.

“It’s a chiropractor. I wouldn’t trust a single thing about them,” chimed in a third. A fourth commenter expressed how the recent anti-vaccine movement is nothing more than a “telltale sign of entitled and stupid people who have no grasp of history, society, or just how good they have it.”

Needless to say, the anti-vaxxer isn’t a new concept. Still, the idea has taken off because people in this subculture view notable politicians, such as Robert F. Kennedy Jr., as supporters of the movement, according to The Conversation U.S. On the other hand, being against vaccinations and chiropractors aren’t related, although many Redditors claim the two complement each other, based on the healthcare office photo.

The question of whether a chiropractor is a “real doctor” has been an ongoing controversy on its own. The National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health does state they are “licensed health care professionals.” Though, whether any patient would take vaccine advice from someone specializing in spinal therapy is entirely up to them.
