Donny Cates took the Marvel Universe and blew it up last year with his comics. From Thanos to Venom. But the comic that will be continuing as of March 6th, 2019 is Cosmic Ghost Rider. The new sequel series continues as Cosmic Ghost Rider Destroys The Marvel Universe. I couldn’t have picked a better name myself. I attended the Florida Comic Con Revolution on March 2nd, 2019 and interviewed writer Donny Cates.
Mr.Cates excited about the new series and said he looks forward to twisting the universe some more. As long as he pitches the idea as if Marvel would say no he will be fine with whatever the results. We took a closer look at the beginning of this character and asked where it came from. The Punisher, Frank Castle as Ghost Rider with the power cosmic is too much to comprehend and yet it has been achieved and well accepted.
Cates stated that he felt The Punishers desire for vengeance and justice made sense to mesh with the Rider of Vengence. The match works and as for the power cosmic. He says that one day his tattoo artist had a skull with a space helmet on and the idea of Ghost Rider in space blew his mind. It was the new edge of Ghost Rider unexplored. Cates assured me that he has a lot more surprises and ideas in store for all his books.
Thanos is a fantastic series of his that should be read before Cosmic Ghost Rider. Thanos leads the way for the new rider and his historic trail of destruction.
