Jennifer Aniston‘s left under pressure to flee her LA mansion following a stalking incident, as her stalker moves to override the result of a psychiatric evaluation conducted. The star experienced a terrifying ordeal this month when an alleged stalker, Jimmy Wayne Carwyle, drove his car into the front gate of her $21 million Bel Air home following years of aggressive stalking. The home invasion, which left the icon’s property vandalized, followed years of sending unsolicited voicemails, emails, and social media messages to Aniston. He remains in custody pending the court’s decision.
The suspect, who faces two felony counts, one each for stalking and vandalism, pleaded not guilty to the charges during his initial hearing this month. That prompted the Los Angeles Judge Maria Cavaluzzi to postpone the proceedings until he underwent psychological evaluations. Jennifer Aniston’s stalker underwent the evaluation this week in a Hollywood courthouse specializing in mental health cases. The county psychologist, Dr. Phani Tumu, who handled his case, found Carwyle “currently incompetent to stand trial.”
Jennifer Aniston’s Stalker Exercises His Legal Rights

However, Carwyle seems unsatisfied with this examination and has since moved to exercise his “legal rights” to a second opinion. Deputy Public Defender Robert Krauss confirmed that the 48-year-old was demanding another psychological evaluation as his rights. Judge Cavaluzzi approved this request, appointing a different psychiatrist, Dr. Kory Knakpe, to handle the second examination, scheduling another court hearing for May 29. The victim, Jennifer Aniston, was notably absent from previous hearings.
According to reports, the incident occurred on Sunday, May 5, 2025. While the Friends star had been home on said day, she never encountered Carwyle directly, as private security on duty that day accosted him in time and detained him until law enforcement arrived. In addition to his two felony counts, Carwyle faces an aggravating circumstance of the threat of great bodily harm. He has since remained in custody, pending the court’s ruling.
Friends Actress Shaken Up After Stalker Incident
Despite having her stalker safely in police custody for now, Jennifer Aniston reportedly feels a sense of unease towards he LA mansion. Speaking to the Daily Mail, a source claimed that the attempted home invasion “did a number” on the actress and left her flipping out. The source added,
“It’s bad feeling knowing someone wants to break into your sanctuary. It’s such a shame that happened.”
Sources claimed that Aniston found it even more unnerving that law enforcement released her address in the police report, knowing the public had access to it. That oversight has left Jennifer Aniston in a dire situation as fans have continued “flooding outside” her LA mansion since the report, hoping to catch a glimpse of the star. This has left the 56-year-old furious at the LAPD, considering she expected more protection from the police as a famous celebrity.
The entire ordeal with the stalker, compounded by her compromised privacy, has left Jennifer Aniston “shaken up.” As a result, a source claimed the star was looking to sell her LA mansion because she considered her safety a top priority. Thankfully, she has property just within reach, in the affluent Montecito neighborhood, which houses the likes of Zoe Saldana, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Meghan Markle. The home is in its final stages of completion, ready to welcome Aniston when she decides to leave behind the beautiful memories she’s created in her Bel Air home for years.
