Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni made a striking entrance at a Manhattan courthouse on Wednesday for their high-profile settlement conference, stepping out in near-matching hues that immediately caught attention. Lively wore a khaki double-breasted suit with a pale pink shirt and a five-leaf clover pin, while Baldoni sported an olive teddy coat paired with a pink scarf. Fans quickly commented on the visual coordination, though many remained skeptical about a resolution.
Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni Face Off in Court for Last Settlement
This settlement conference marks their last chance to avoid a May 18 trial, more than a year after Lively filed a complaint accusing Baldoni of sexual harassment and retaliation on the set of It Ends With Us. The hearing, presided over by Judge Sarah L Cave, is closed to the public as both sides attempt to reach an agreement.
Social media buzzed over their courthouse appearance. On Reddit, a fan wrote, “Totally shallow but I’m actually really loving the color palette here. Olive, celadon, pale pink, and gray? Feels fresh and optimistic, good styling for both of them. I don’t think they will settle today.” Another user, focused on the legal stakes, stated, “This is a required hearing. Will be interesting to see if anything comes of it. Doubtful imo.”
Private Texts and the Ongoing Legal Battle
Legal filings have revealed private texts between Lively and Taylor Swift. In one, Swift told Lively: “You won. You did it.” Swift later added: “You (expletive) helped so many people who won’t have to go through this ever again.” Lively replied in court documents: “Like. My. God.” and “I love you so much. I would not be ok through any of this if it weren’t for you.”
Baldoni’s legal team noted that Lively asked Swift to support a revised script, describing him as “this doofus director of my movie” and “a clown who thinks he’s a writer now.” Lively’s side clarified that she only hoped Swift would read the script.
Lively has also alleged that Baldoni’s team orchestrated a coordinated social-media smear campaign, costing her at least $161 million in lost earnings and damages. Baldoni’s $400 million defamation lawsuit has already been dismissed, and his motion to dismiss her sexual harassment claims has not yet been ruled on.
While their courtroom colors align, online observers remain doubtful that the actors will settle today, leaving the May 18 trial as the ultimate potential resolution.
