Karen crash-outs are a common occurrence nowadays, and the latest one to be spotted happened in Santa Monica, California. According to the footage shared by an influencer, a crazy Karen came out of nowhere while he was filming, got into the guy’s car, and proceeded to steal his phone. Then, she played the “I didn’t do anything” card, trying to act all innocent. However, these people recorded the whole event, leaving the woman branded as yet another Karen that we should all avoid.
The original video comes from Instagram user topcommentjosh. In it, we can see how the crazy Karen approaches the vehicle and starts saying, “You guys are going around, lying to people.” She then proceeds to say, “Go on, honey, tell me your name. Tell me. Tell me.” In a very annoying and pushy way.
The woman continues to demand the influencer’s first and last name, but the teenager tells her his name is “Jake Paul,” which is not true. The Karen continues to press for information, and the woman inside the car tells her to give her name first.
At that point, the ones in the vehicle pull out what seems to be a handycam to start recording the lady. She then asks, “What is that?” Not long after, the crazy Karen steals the influencer’s cellphone and runs away toward her car.
The two get out of the car to pursue the woman, who is already inside her vehicle. Here, the two young men ask the Karen to return the phone, but she says she doesn’t have anything. They continue exchanging some words until the one with the camera tells his friend to drop it, as pressing charges is the better option.
While there isn’t much context for what led to this incident, many assume it is because of the “influencer’s” content. If you look at his account, he tends to pull many annoying pranks in public, some of which degrade some people and annoy workers. Many believe that’s why the lady in the video said they were “lying to people.”
Regardless of what these influencers do, the truth is that the woman was in the wrong here, as she stole a phone and tried to run away with it. Many people commented on the matter, shaming the lady’s actions.
“I’m curious how that ended. I really hope she was arrested.” Said one user.
“Not only is she on camera taking the phone, but the phone can be tracked and located. She’s as bright as she is pleasant.” Commented another person.
Unfortunately, it is uncertain how this situation ended. Yet if those affected pressed charges, we imagine this Karen didn’t get a happy ending.
