A woman at a Starbucks parking lot in Newport Beach, California, freaked out after spotting two cameramen. She melted down when they started recording her behavior, and even charged at them in a bizarre moment. At one point, she even accused one of the cameramen of being a “foreigner,” and also blasted the police.
The strange interaction was uploaded to TikTok by Good God Karen and occurred at a Starbucks parking lot. The lady wearing pink immediately told the men that she doesn’t want pictures taken of her, adding that what the gentlemen are doing is “illegal,” even though they are in a public space.
That’s when the Karen shifted her focus and instead targeted the cameramen’s origin.
“So you’re resisting…you’re resisting legal…legal questions from a legal citizen,” the woman struggled to say. “You could be a foreigner.”
As soon as the California woman managed to complete her phrase, she started running toward the cameramen. In a public demonstration of cringe, the Karen started waving her arms and making faces, making a scene out of her meltdown.
“Oh, you’re gonna film me doing this now,” the woman said before she stopped running. “I’m witnessing you film the police, so when they wanna question me, I’m here for them.“
The Karen then claimed she knew “the bureau” and that “they” knew where the cameramen were and the cameras of the establishment.
Police Arrive, Karen Continues
A follow-up video shows the woman freaking out even more, screaming at one of the cameramen, touching him, and attempting to touch the camera.
Eventually, the police arrived and started talking with the California lady. She told the cops that she wanted the cameramen’s footage to be deleted. However, when the officers told her that she was in a public space, therefore, there was no expectation of privacy, she said, “Well, I’m in public too, so I can do whatever I want to you then.”
“I am not gonna bow down to what they do,” the Karen added, telling the police, “You’re bowing down to what they’re doing.”
Despite the police officers being present at the scene, the woman continued waving her arms and screaming at the cameramen. She even said that she was “citizens arresting them,” and asked the cops to do the same. The cops didn’t comply with her odd request, so she told them they weren’t doing their job.
Many users reacted to the strange incident with disbelief, refusing to accept the idea that such an odd interaction could take place.
“Pls, this has to be AI,” one user wrote. Another commented, “America is a circus.” A third one added, “I’ll never understand why people would want to visit this country.”
It is unclear whether the interaction between the two parties escalated even further.
