The upcoming “Crisis on Infinite Earths” crossover event is a big deal. This is essentially the Arrowverse’s version of the Infinity War/Endgame. So, it’s a no brainer that those at the CW want to promote this event as much as humanly possible. This includes those working on the crossover directly. Via Twitter, Arrowverse Executive Consultant Marc Guggenheim stated that “Everyone is hard at work already” on the crossover and teased a “pretty cool” announcement at San Diego Comic-Con:
Loving these so much. Everyone is hard at work already — the earliest start we've ever gotten on the crossovers — to make this as big and epic and FUN as we can conceivably manage. Don't be surprised if we announce something pretty cool at SDCC… https://t.co/70D6r9x21a

Although it is vague, it’s exciting to hear that we may have some sort of announcement regarding the crossover in a few weeks. Up to this point, we’ve mostly gotten a bunch of rumors and wild speculation on possible cameos.
Guggenheim wasn’t the only one to tease “Crisis on Infinite Earths” either. LaMonica Garrett, who played The Monitor in the 2018 “Elseworlds” crossover and is set to be a major player in “Crisis on Infinite Earths”, took to Twitter to reveal that the first table read had begun on the crossover:
When you have to step away from the read through, but your presence still lingers…. 👀 pic.twitter.com/QnRSh9Xrv1

Considering that Garrett just sat down for the first table read, it’s highly unlikely that we’ll see any footage at SDCC this year. However, it’ll be interesting to see what CW has to showcase at SDCC, whether that be an epic casting announcement or just some cool concept art for the event.
San Diego Comic-Con will take place July 18th-21st.
“Crisis on Infinite Earths” is set to be the largest crossover in DCTV history, reportedly spanning across 5 hours and 2 quarters (most likely meaning before and after the mid-season break). Arrow, Supergirl, The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow, and Batwoman are all included this year with more surprises surely on the way in the coming months.
