U.S. Senator Cory Booker of New Jersey posted on X, calling for massive reforms across all three branches of government, with particular emphasis on the Supreme Court. According to the post, his plan includes stopping Supreme Court justices from accepting unlimited gifts from billionaires with matters before the court and imposing 18-year term limits. The remarks have prompted strong reactions online from users who questioned the proposal and its timing.

All three branches of our government need massive reforms — especially the Supreme Court.

New Jersey Senator Cory Booker shared a post on X that included a video clip from his appearance on NBC’s Meet the Press. The video shows Sen. Cory Booker speaking during the interview, with on-screen text reading “HOW TO FIX THE SUPREME COURT.” He states, “All three branches of our government need massive reforms, especially the Supreme Court.” He describes his plan as simple: to stop Supreme Court members from accepting unlimited gifts from billionaires with matters before the Court and to impose 18-year term limits so people do not hang on way past their prime.

In the accompanying post, Booker says the proposed changes are intended to restore the fairness and integrity that Americans deserve. The clip focuses on his remarks and does not include the host’s questions or the full context of the interview.

Booker’s Supreme Court Overhaul Meets Online Firestorm

Some commenters argued the timing appeared partisan, with one writing that “they only need reforms when Democrats lose all three branches.”

Others suggested priorities elsewhere, stating, “Shut Up Booker. Abolish AIPAC & Insider Stock Trading, and you take care of most of the Money and Influence Problems in all Three Branches of Gov’t.”

Additional responses questioned the senator’s position, with one stating the Supreme Court “is not broken” and describing the proposal as “the usual democrat twist to try and cheat.”

Another comment read, “You’re pushing term limits and gift bans on the Supreme Court like a cheap hooker demanding payment upfront, while you’ve been slurping donor cash in the Senate for decades without a peep about your own grift.”

Some users also asserted that Booker “lacked the authority to judge other branches of government,” with one writing, “Especially YOU have no Power, Knowledge or Authority to comment at ALL to judge any branch of the federal Government!”

For now, the proposal has sparked discussion among advocates for judicial reform. Online critics, however, remain focused on whether the plan represents genuine efforts at fairness or merely a partisan move following Democratic losses.
