The anime streaming website Crunchyroll has now launched an exclusive Death Note apparel collection. The whole line includes two poster hoodies with the main characters Light and L on them. The new collaboration also features several short sleeve and long sleeve shirts featuring the show’s logo and other characters. As of now, the entire Death Note collection is only available through Crunchyroll’s online store while supplies last.
Writer Tsugumi Ohba and artist Takeshi Obata created Death Note in 2003. The series centers around high schooler Light Yagami, who happens to find a Death Note one day at school. He then learns that the supernatural book allows its users to determine how and when a person will die by writing their name on the pages.
The Crunchyroll Death Note collection follows the highly sought-after Jujutsu Kaisen collection. The streaming service has also done collaborations based on One Piece and Fullmetal Alchemist in the past.

Since its release, the thriller manga has spawned international acclaim to this day. At the same time, it also became one of the biggest commercial successes within its era, achieving more than 20 million copies in circulation at one point. The manga has since then fostered an anime adaptation in 2006 by Studio Madhouse. More recently, the series was adapted into a live-action film by Netflix in 2017. However, the film received many negative responses from longtime fans and casual viewers.
Ohba and Obata are also the duos behind the anime series Platinum End. The series is still airing on Crunchyroll, with the manga finishing in January 2021. Obata is also working on a new anime series titled Bubble, which will premiere on Netflix.
Currently, Death Note is available to watch on Crunchyroll and Netflix. The series is 33 episodes long and is available in English and the original Japanese audio with subtitles. Platinum End is also available to watch on Crunchyroll, Funimation, and Hulu.
