Curious Expedition 2 has just been named winner of the “Best Indie Game” category for GamesCom 2020 awards, subsequently impressing both its publisher Thunderfulgames and developer Maschimensch. So much so that Johannes Kristmann, Co-founder and Art Director at Maschinen-Mensch had the following to say.
“We’re humbled and honored to receive this award with so many ridiculously talented indie developers participating in Gamescom this year. Thank you!”
In addition, Curious Expedition 2’s nomination was made earlier during this evening’s GamesCom by a jury formed from German and international gaming journalists, well-known YouTubers, and other experts. They all made their selection from more than 140 submissions, making Curious Expedition 2 winning of “Best Indie Game” a truly impressive feat and an overall attestment to the quality of the game.
It honestly comes as no surprise that Curious Expedition 2 has won “Best Indie Game” at GamesCom as the game is rich in content, gameplay, story, and charm. We also praised the game in our early access impressions for it as “a solid foundation for an amazing follow up to its grand success in 2015”, which ultimately is the case because since the start of its early access it has truly lived up to our statement. We highly recommend checking out the game on Steam and if you are curious about what features the game has, check out the list below:
