Purchasing a new car can be an absolute minefield. Not only do you have to factor in the exorbitant cost, but you also need to make sure that what you’re buying isn’t a total lemon. In other words, you don’t want to get ripped off and saddled with a vehicle riddled with expensive problems. It seems like one customer from Sandy, Utah wasn’t too happy with his vehicle purchase, and after being refused a return for it, he decided to do something incredibly dangerous: he drove the car and crashed it straight into the car dealership he purchased the car from. Astonishingly, the shocking incident was caught on camera and shared to Reddit recently.
The viral clip kicks things off with a bang, as a silver Subaru Outback smashes through the front doors of a car dealership showroom. The driver exits the vehicle and yells something very difficult to discern, though it’s clear he’s very irate. “I told you mother******s!” he then shouts before slamming the vehicle’s door shut.
The driver then proceeds to take off his coat and throw it on top of his car before heading out through the smashed glass windows of the entrance. Meanwhile, it’s here when a member of staff shouts, “Call the cops!” Next, the driver then heads back into the car dealership to grab his coat from the top of his car before heading back out again. You can hear shocked staff and onlookers exclaim: “Is anybody under the car?“
As the staff of the car dealership confirm that no one has been hurt, you can hear one of the employees say, “We have all of his information.”
As the footage was recorded yesterday, on Monday 9th December, 2024, the wild clip is gathering lots of momentum online and sparking much reaction from the internet. One Redditor chimed in with,
Adding a little bit of context to the incident was the OP, who added: “UPDATE: The man purchased that Subaru Outback from the dealership that morning. He later called and asked to return it, and was refused since it was being sold ‘as is.’ He threatened to crash the car into the dealership if they didn’t take it back… and well, y’all can see what happened.“
Some netizens even empathised with the driver, with one commenter writing: “I’ve been in this man’s shoes ..I just never had the balls to do it“
Luckily, no one was hurt during the incident, which is the most important thing. However, police were called to the scene and the driver was later arrested and charged with felony criminal mischief and reckless endangerment.
