This article is over 10 years old and may contain outdated information.

During a two-hour conversation with the Paley Center, Greg Berlanti, producer of shows such as Supergirl, Blindspot, as well as The CW’s Arrow and The Flash, sat down with Warner Bros TV’s President and Chief Content Officer Peter Roth for a conversation about their work together and to announce the upcoming Legends of Tomorrow. Watch the video below for a deeper look.

Although Roth makes this announcement at the 1:02:00 in the video above, there have been no official release date announcements. The announcement comes directly from the president, so, it is a pretty safe bet to assume that it is an accurate date. However, neither Warner Bros. or The CW have confirmed the announcement. The series, which has a fifteen episode order at The CW, will launch out of the upcoming Arrow/Flash crossover on December 1st and 2nd.

When the Fall TV schedule came up, Roth was very complimentary to Berlanti. He states, “For those of you that don’t know, Greg is currently shepherding the number one and number two new series of the year. So, thanks to my friend and protégé, we’re having a very good year. With a third series, Legends of Tomorrow, that we have very high hopes for, on Jan. 21.”

Legends of Tomorrow follows time traveller Rip Hunter as he brings together a group of superheroes and villains in an attempt to stop the supervillain, Vandal Savage, from destroying the world. Stay tuned for details!
