Actress Cynthia Nixon took to Instagram on Saturday to share a sweet message while celebrating her friend Sarah Jessica Parker’s birthday. She also expressed gratitude for their long-lasting friendship.
Few Hollywood friendships are as iconic as that of Cynthia Nixon and Sarah Jessica Parker. The two have been friends for more than two decades and still share a very strong bond.
Cynthia Nixon and Sarah Jessica Parker’s friendship began when they co-starred in “Sex and the City,” which aired between 1998 and 2004. In the series, Parker portrayed Carrie Bradshaw while Nixon portrayed Miranda Hobbes.
The duo reprised their roles in HBO’s rebooted version of the popular series titled “And Just Like That…” The first season of the reboot debuted on HBO in 2021 and the friends are currently working on a second season.
The duo was recently spotted filming season 2 of “And Just Like That” in a fake blizzard. They looked really lively and their on-screen chemistry was as palpable as ever.
Sarah Jessica Parker’s Birthday from Cynthia Nixon On Instagram
On Saturday, Cynthia Nixon took some time out to share a sweet tribute to celebrate Sarah Jessica Parker’s birthday. Nixon’s long-time friend Parker turned 57, and she wasn’t going to let the day pass without some sweet words for her BFF.
While sharing her birthday message on Instagram, Nixon shared a throwback photo of herself and Parker. The photo seemed to be from their time during the earlier seasons of HBO’s “Sex and the City.” The hit series ran for six seasons and also spawned two feature films and a rebooted version.
In the caption, Nixon started a birthday tribute by writing an old nursery rhyme. It read:
“Make new friends, but keep the old. One is silver, the other is gold. A circle is round, it has no end. That’s how long, I will be your friend.”
She concluded the post by writing, “Happy birthday to my old friend @sarahjessicaparker. So glad to still be walking next to you after all this time.”
Meanwhile, fans are eagerly waiting for season 2 of “And Just Like That…” The biggest storyline from the filming is the reunion of Carrie Bradshaw and her ex-boyfriend Aiden Shaw (John Corbett).
Shots from some of their scenes have already made their way to social media, causing a frenzy among fans. While many fans are not so pleased with the on-screen romance, they will just have to wait till the season kicks off to get a better picture.
