Undoubtedly, Dallas, Texas, has the best masters of disguise in the country. As you know, the Tesla situation hasn’t been great nationwide. We’ve seen people destroying vehicles, protesting outside the dealerships, and more. Naturally, some might want to hide the fact that they own one of these cars to preserve their safety. One citizen in Dallas tried to do this in a hilarious way and covered their Cybertruck with a different brand. However, Tesla Cybertrucks are quite easy to identify, so even if it has a different brand, those with keen eyes or common sense will see behind the not-so-great disguise.
Redditor tuliprox shared the picture on the Dallas subreddit, showing a Tesla Cybertruck with a Toyota sign pasted on the back. As you can expect, this isn’t enough to fool people, or so we hope. Not a lot of cars have the same design as the Cybertruck, so even if you want to pass it as another car, people will soon find out. It’s uncertain if the person wanted to do this because they were ashamed or something else, but the fact is that this was hilarious, and a lot of people commented on it.
“Still a garbage truck.” – frankgrimes1 via Reddit.
“They are genuinely the ugliest cars. I saw a dark green one parked on the street in Uptown a couple weeks ago and immediately thought “I don’t think you can just leave a dumpster in the road like that.” – pcra18 via Reddit.
“Yeah, I saw a clickbait page the other day that was nothing but people rebranding their Teslas as other cars (Toyota, Audi, VW, etc).” – BillDuki via Reddit.
The last statement seems like the most accurate one. We all know that Tesla and Musk are not in great standing around the US. While people didn’t mind owning a Tesla vehicle before, things have changed drastically, so owning one might not sit too well with some people.
Still, those rebranding their cars should at least try to make something with the bodywork. Again, Cybertrucks are easy to identify, and a sign is just comically useless.
