Most restaurant goers have had at least one subpar meal while dining out. For TikTok influencer Bari Douglas, pointing out the good and bad food from her dining experiences is simply a part of her job. The mother and Dallas food blogger recently posted a “thumbs down” review after a sub-par experience at a local Texas Roadhouse.
When Bari arrived at the restaurant, she noticed many Texas Roadhouse workers were standing around. She chose to believe that their customers were all taken care of, regardless. Yet once her family sat down and their food began leaving the kitchen, multiple problems arose.
First, they received the wrong drink order. Bari remained understanding, noting, “Again, mistakes happen.” It was far from the last one there’d be. Next, their dinner rolls arrived thirty minutes late. When they did arrive, they came out burnt. When they asked for more rolls to be brought to the table, their server advised them they couldn’t have seconds until the kitchen staff caught up on their other orders.
Bari expressed her extreme disappointment, as she’d specifically wanted the infamous Texas Roadhouse rolls. She also said the server never gave an update as to the kitchen’s progress. Her family finished their meal and, unfortunately, didn’t get more.
Following the bread fiasco, her partner’s burger left them shocked. Bari describes the meat mishap in detail:
This was Jesse’s burger: completely raw… He did not realize until a few bites in… I did end up speaking to the manager about the situation, and they just comped the burger.
Additional Texas Roadhouse Troubles
Texas Roadhouse lost more points after taking too long to refill Bari’s drink, and for serving a salad with not enough lettuce. Their other food was up to par. Yet Bari claimed that overall, the restaurant didn’t deliver the type of service needed for a rave review.
Because they tried to make it right, she chose not to share their specific location. She did, however, mention the importance of keeping it real for the sake of her professional legitimacy as a blogger. Bari called the whole ordeal “quite an experience,” stating she hoped that Texas Roadhouse just simply had an off day. Those in Dallas, Texas are probably hoping the same. That burger was practically mooing!
