Reddit user and photographer FearlessFrolic documented the Trump protests in Dallas on Saturday in a series of captivating photos. Although protests against Trump and Elon Musk have been increasing throughout the U.S., coverage of them by national media outlets has been spotty at best. As a result, independent and citizen photographers are increasingly the ones documenting history in real time. While most protest photography is understandably grounded, FearlessFrolic took the high ground for some powerful vantage shots. The result? Arguably, these are some of the best images of the Dallas protests thus far.
Pictures Cast Dallas Trump Protests in New Light
While MAGA edgelords continue provoking others for attention, Trump’s opponents have been organizing in Texas. FearlessFrolic described the “fun challenge” of keeping pace with the crowd “while also finding my way to higher vantage points before they passed by.” The photographer’s efforts paid off in a series of compelling images.
In them, protestors march through the streets of downtown Dallas, many with signs in hand. “Descended From Immigrants!” read one. “Democracy Yes! Project 2025 No!” read another. The mix of flags and the use of Spanish and English signs highlights one of the strengths of the Dallas protests: diversity. Dallas is a large city of many perspectives, and FearlessFrolic’s photos cut to the heart of that.
The Reddit post by FearlessFrolic received over 22k upvotes and numerous appreciative comments. The photographer’s work on the Dallas Trump protests was widely praised, as were the protestors themselves. “Yay! I’m proud of all of you! Direct action gets stuff done!” said one commenter. Another pointed out the relative lack of coverage for protests like the one in Dallas, saying,
How is it not all over the news?? Have we really been oppressed this significantly in the three months (which seems like 3 years) ? It’s so scary. Thank you to all who share news. [Sic]
The Trump protests in Dallas, like those in other cities, have grown in recent weeks. From Trump’s detention and deportation efforts to the gutting of federal programs and agencies by DOGE, Dallas has plenty to protest about. Every day, people lose rights while oligarchs like Musk enrich themselves. Many in Dallas have had enough; now we have the pictures to prove it.
