More are checking into our favorite luxurious hotel chain. Daredevil alumni Scott Glenn is the latest to join the cast of The White Lotus season 3. The new Thailand setting will see him with Carrie Coon, Michelle Monaghan, Leslie Bibb, Parker Posey, Walton Goggins, season 1 star Natasha Rothwell, Aimee Lou Wood, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Jason Isaacs, Christian Friedel, Dom Hetrakul, Sarah Catherine Hook, Julian Kostov, Sam Nivola, Morgana O’Reilly, Lek Patravadi, Shalini Peiris, Tayme Thapthimthong, Francesca Corney, Nicholas Duvernay and Arnas Fedaravičius.
While we don’t know when we will return to the hotel, production is beginning this month. The returning HBO comedy will be shooting in Koh Samui, Phuket, and Bangkok.
Daredevil’s Scott Glenn Joins the Cast of The White Lotus
Deadline was the first to report the latest casting update for the Mike White-created anthology series. No character details are known, but following the show’s premise, we will get plenty of unusual, wealthy characters. The outlet reports we can expect “a patriarch, a female corporate executive, an actress, a couple of mothers, including a country club wife, a misfit, and a yogi.” It is not confirmed, but it is reported that Scott Glenn’s character in White Lotus will be Jim, “who may be slowing down physically but is still mentally sharp and a little cranky.”
The star returns to HBO after his tenure on The Leftovers, where he starred in all three seasons. He has appeared in the Netflix run of Daredevil, The Defenders, and Hulu’s Castle Rock. It is unconfirmed if he will return to the superhero world for Daredevil: Born Again.
Before production began, some trouble stirred as Miloš Biković was fired from the project for pro-Russia sentiments that supported the country’s ongoing attacks against Ukraine. Kostov will replace him. It should be smooth sailing as the satirical comedy boots up its third outing.
