This time, the annual event (with two editions) has brought many new trailers, including world premieres, long-awaited release dates, and other surprises that will all types of gamers. So, sit back and enjoy everything that the Day of the Devs 2024 – The Game Awards Edition unveiled in its showcase.
Faraway
Faraway kicked off the Day of the Devs 2024 – The Game Awards edition showcase with quite an interesting and soothing take on the puzzle genre. In it, you take control of a shooting star looking to create constellations in the most creative ways. You can swing from one star to another and link them. Furthermore, there are challenges that will require you to create specific shapes or finish them in a certain amount of time. While it might seem like a relaxing game, it’ll require all of your wits to pull off these intricate puzzles.
Faraway is coming to PC in 2025.
Ultimate Sheep Racoon
Fans of Ultimate Chicken Horse will be delighted. Clever Endeavor Games brings Ultimate Sheep Racoon as the sequel to the famous party game. This spiritual successor, as the developers call it, brings the chaotic fun we love from the series in an even more beautiful package. So, if you want a game that will test your skills and your relationships, look no further.

Sleight of Hand
Inspired by stealth classics, such as Metal Gear Solid, Sleight of Hand puts you in the shoes of Lady Luck as she wields the power of deck-building to sneak her way through different levels. This is an interesting take on the stealth genre, as cards will dictate how you can complete a level. There are many options, including creating clouds of smoke, hiding inside them, and even knocking two enemies at a time. This is a game that stealth aficionados must keep on their radars.
Sleight of Hand doesn’t have a release date, but you can wishlist it on Steam. It is also coming to Xbox Series X|S and Game Pass.
Demon Tides
The next reveal of Day of the Devs 2024 – The Game Awards Edition, is Demon Tides. A platformer inspired by Sonic that brings fast-paced action, colorful characters, and an intriguing narrative. In these intricate stages, players can dash, bounce, and transform to make it to the end. Furthermore, there seem to be many customization options for those who want a personal touch during their adventure.

Kingmakers
One of the wildest games in the showcase is Kingmakers, which we have already seen a bit of before. As a soldier dropped back in the castle era, your job is to save England’s future as you bring down enemy armies with guns, tanks, cars, and other modern objects. Plus, you’ll also be able to place your foothold in this era to progress through this medieval mayhem. Lastly, you can play the whole campaign as a co-op group if that’s something you’ll want to do when the game arrives.
Kingmakers is coming to Epic Games Store and Steam in 2025.
Recur
While time-bending adventures aren’t new, Recur takes a different approach to it. In this game, you’ll explore levels that seem to be frozen in time but only move whenever your character progresses through them. It will be crucial to see how you’ll traverse each stage, as the levels will change depending on what you do. Out of all things involving frozen time, this is one of the most original ideas, and one many platformers and puzzle fans will want to try.

Blue Prince
While the roguelike genre usually features action games and some deck-builders, Blue Prince takes a house-building approach. In this mysterious architectural adventure, you build an ever-changing house and explore the rooms that change with each run. While there doesn’t seem to be a lot of action, the puzzle elements will be present every step of the way. Roguelike and puzzle fans will want to jump into this adventure, which looks quite intricate and refreshing.

Incolatus: Don’t Stop, Girlypop!
One of the most beautiful and flashiest games of Day of the Devs 2024 – The Game Awards Edition is Incolatus. This game combines snappy FPS mechanics with Barbie-like style to create one gorgeous shooter. The gimmick of Incolatus relies on the player’s speed, as going fast will even upgrade your weapons. So far, it looks like a fabulous mayhem that also features an interesting plot behind all this colorfulness. And yes, there’s a lot of customization as well if you’re looking to beautify your shooting experience.
There isn’t a release date for Incolatus, but you can add it to your Steam wishlist.
LOK Digital
Moving away from common puzzles, LOK Digital brings the well-known puzzle book to the digital landscape. Players must discover specific words to solve intricate puzzles in this simple yet deep experience. Every word you learn has different properties, so you’ll need to pay attention to everything if you want to solve these brain teasers.
LOK Digital is available now on Steam and itch.io.
Neon Abyss 2
Neon Abyss 2 is the sequel to the 2020 roguelike platformer. From what we saw in the small teaser, this sequel is cranking up everything. The action, the explosions, the loot, and everything else seem to be coming on a grander scale. There aren’t a lot of details yet, but we’re certainly excited to jump into it.

Crescent County
Imagine if you combined Kiki’s Delivery Service with technological motorcycle-like brooms. That’s what Crescent County is. This game takes you to a colorful town where you work as a courier during the day and race other witches at night. Plus, it has romance features, so that’s an exciting bonus. In addition, you’ll have other rural-like missions like herding ships and fixing leylines and even have the chance to customize your motorbroom.
Crescent County doesn’t have a release date, but there’s a playtest now on Steam.
PBJ – The Musical
PBJ – The Musical tells the tale of the famous peanut butter and jam sandwich in a rhythmic way. Featuring the talented Lady Lorraine Bowen for the music, players can expect a fun and unique musical story in this game. Also, everything is handmade, from the backgrounds to the characters and everything else. One could say that every element goes as well as the ingredients of the sandwich the musical is inspired from.

Curiosmos
Curiosmos takes a colorful approach to space sims and allows players to create their galaxies. From a small start to becoming a complete planet, players can watch how this universe unfolds in their hands. The art style looks gorgeous, and the gameplay is highly relaxing. It seems the game will allow players to edit everything from gravity to wildlife and more.

Bionic Bay
Bionic Bay combines time-bending mechanics with chaotic levels to bring a unique platformer. In an art style that resembles Limbo, players will go through different levels, altering the passing of time to solve puzzles and avoid dangers. By the looks of it, Bionic Bay is all about fast-paced traversal that will require players to pay attention to know when to stop time. It might not be the best for the faint of heart, though.

inKONBINI: One Store. Many Stories
Moving away from the hectic platformer action, we have inKONBINI, a tale that puts you in the shoes of a convenience store worker. Through your work shifts, you’ll learn about people by watching what they buy when they arrive and the interactions you have with them. It has many intricate mechanics that let you manage your store, but the key aspect of it is the relationships you build with the characters who purchase things at this convenience store. So far, it seems like we’re in for a deep and memorable experience with a lot of heart and a beautiful style.
inKONBINI is coming to PS5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X|S, and PC through Steam. There’s no release date, but you can wishlist it on Steam.
FELTOPIA
While we’ve praised the art style of many games so far, FELTOPIA takes the crown as the most beautiful and most elaborate. Made entirely in stop motion, this game will take players on an epic side-scroller adventure to purge an evil spirit that is tainting the land. The mechanics already look snappy, and the fact that everything is handmade and taken to a videogame is a huge feat.

Blippo+
From the minds behind Untitled Goose Game comes Blippo+. While there isn’t a lot to say about the teaser, it seems this TV experience will be like no other. I am not kidding with that, as it is all Blippo+ seems to be, but I’m not saying that in a bad way. Guess we’ll have to wait for more information about this television experience that is already looking mysterious and more entertaining than modern TV shows.

Hyper Light Breaker
The long-awaited Hyper Light Breaker is almost here. This open-world roguelike takes place in the world of Drifter but takes things up to a new level. With a new perspective, larger procedurally generated worlds, and the roguelike action we love, Hyper Light Breaker promises to hook players for hours with its intricate systems and fast-paced action.
Hyper Light Breaker is launching in Steam early access on January 14, 2025.
TankHead
The one closing the Day of the Devs 2024 – The Game Awards Edition showcase is TankHead. In this post-apocalyptic world, humans project their minds to drones and scavenge the remains of other machines to explore, which is where you come in. You’ll start as a small drone, but will be able to create your tank-like machines with all parts you come across. You can modify components on the fly and take your creation to face the world’s most dangerous mechanical foes. Also, the game features roguelike elements, so expect a lot of replayability in this derelict battlefield.
TankHead doesn’t have a release date, but it is coming to Epic Games Store.
