If you’re a fan of YouTube social experiments then you might enjoy this YouTuber’s DAYZ video. Cyborg Lizard takes it upon himself to test the moral compass of the players inhabiting the world of DayZ by seeing what they do when a loaded gun is handed to them. What starts off as a fun video about DAYZ players doing exactly what you’d think DAYZ players would do soon turns into a question of why are these players so quick to turn on a kind stranger?

Fortunately, Cyborg Lizard is smart with his tactics by handing the unsuspecting players a jammed loaded pistol instead of a functioning one. When the players inevitably turn against him not only does he get a chance to lecture these morally absent players about not being a turd of a person but we get to see them lose their heads as they come to the conclusion that they’re probably dead meat now.

DAYZ has been available since 2013 which you’d think would translate to a smaller population of players inhabiting the game but it seems there are still plenty of players left out there to provide us entertaining videos like this.

Many of you might think that it’s completely normal for players to go around killing other players but I don’t understand why a game having to do with surviving and zombies has to turn players against each other? Why can’t we all just get along? I bet you forgot that DAYZ was actually about zombies (I know I did).

There is actually a very touching moment at the end of the video that reignites hope that sometimes people (even when they’re absolute strangers and virtual) can be loyal and generally good people. I’m a bit surprised with how many people are still making videos about DAYZ and it’s made me want to finally actually get the game for myself. Maybe it’s time I started wandering the ravaged world of DAYZ to add a little light to the black ocean of morally bankrupt individuals currently residing in it.

Luis is a generally great person to be around with unfortunately with his sense of humor you never know when he's being serious. He plays enough video games to consider himself more than a novice and possibly watches too much tv.
