DC Protestor Flexes His First Amendment Rights Against ICE Agent, ‘This is the energy we need’

That’s his right

Peaceful protesting has been a hallmark of the US since the beginning, and it’s quite a sight when someone utilizes it well. One Washington DC protestor showed his stars and stripes by being loud and poignant with his First Amendment Right when an ICE agent got fed up with hearing him outside an ICE facility. But as this protestor puts it, “Every moment they spend dealing with protestors is one less child kidnapped.”

In TikToker William Kelly’s (Dawokefarmer2) video, an ICE agent walks up to William, telling him he needs to move on. It’s immediately apparent William knows a lot more than the agent. William fires back that he doesn’t have to do anything—he isn’t blocking the street, after all. As the ICE agent starts walking away, William follows along, calling him “traitorous scum” and asking how the agent can sleep at night.

Hilariously, William accuses the ICE agent of “drinking himself to sleep at night.” He then taunts the agent, saying, “You drink yourself to sleep as you betray the republic, as you betray this nation! How do you [expletive] sleep at night?”

Shortly after, William watches as the ICE agent approaches a second agent in a vehicle, stopping to talk. This doesn’t stop the protestor from screaming even louder, accusing him of dragging the nation and throwing families in “concentration camps.”

It isn’t just the content of their character and actions William protests, but the man’s choice of clothing, too. “Look at this guy. He dresses like a little kid. Why do you all dress like little kids?” William says. The man does not respond to any of it.

William further taunts the ICE agent, telling him point blank he’s practicing his “constitutional rights.” The same rights he argues ICE “don’t believe in.”

As he’s following the agent, he asks if he’ll at least try to defend himself from all the viewers who will see the video and think he’s a coward for being an ICE agent. William asks, “Will you defend your actions against humanity?” The agent brushes him off and continues into the US immigration facility as if the interaction never happened.

“This is the energy we need,” said one commenter. Even in the US, Americans’ aren’t happy with how ICE operates.

Another commenter said, “Muchas gracias…It’s refreshing to see there’s a lot of real American people that see the evil & stand up not just for my people, but for what the constitution truly represents!” And how!
