DDG‘s son Halo is only a few months old and, as such, will need to be handled with utmost care. It is no wonder DDG appears to have been receiving criticism from individuals behind closed doors. From the looks of things, these people aren’t pleased with how the rapper carries his baby son. However, the doting father is unbothered by the criticism. Recently, DDG took to social media with a message for those who have a problem with how he holds his baby. This raised questions about DDG and Halle Bailey‘s parental skills.
DDG Stirs Controversy With New Pictures of Himself and Halo
DDG became a father for the first in December 2023, and nearly three months later, the rapper is loving fatherhood. On social media, he flaunts his son, Halo, and fans can see how much he loves the baby. However, some people seem to have an issue with one of DDG’s parenting skills — how he carries his baby. The YouTube content creator recently took to X with a post for such people. The post featured two mirror pictures of DDG holding Halo most unconventionally. In the first snap, the 26-year-old was shirtless, casually holding his son in his left arm and his phone in the right.
Next to the snap was another photo of the father-son duo, but this time, DDG had a black ensemble on. Standing in front of the mirror with his phone in his right hand, DDG barely held on to his son with the other. The snap showed DDG’s son Halo resting on his dad’s thigh in a 90-degree position. All that prevented the infant from probably falling was his dad’s left hand underneath his diaper.
“How y’all gon tell me how to hold my baby😂 we chillin,” DDG captioned the post.
Fans Think DDG’s Son Halo Is Just Fine
The Shade Room reposted DDG’s post on Instagram, and surprisingly, many fans didn’t take offense. Many noted that it was funny and surprising how fathers would hold their babies in a weird way, and the infants would be comfortable with it.
“Men always have a weird way of holding babies but the babies always be content and comfortable🤣🤣🤣,” a fan wrote.
Another fan shared:
“Dads and uncles hold babies in the most unorthodox positions but the babies be happy as well. Halo is fine 😅.”
A third fan also commented:
“I hate to break it to y’all but most new dads hold their baby like a football at one point and the babies love it🤷🏽♀😭😂.”
Some people pointed out that DDG’s son Halo’s neck was stable in both pictures, which was the most important thing. Meanwhile, others slammed DDG and Halle Bailey‘s parental skills, revealing that Halo’s posture could affect his spine in the future.
