Dead by Daylight isn’t new to doing limited-time events. These events can reward various things such as cosmetics for Killers and Survivors and Bloodpoints. Their next event is a crossover with Behaviour Interactive’s upcoming post-apocalyptic game Meet Your Maker. Appropriately titled Meet Your Maker, this Dead by Daylight event tasks you to find Genmats on the map. We’ll explain everything about Genmats and where to look for them in a Trial.
How to Find Genmats During Meet Your Maker Event
Behaviour Interactive, the creators behind Dead by Daylight, has a new video game in the works titled Meet Your Maker. It plans to launch on April 4, 2023. To prepare for it, they’ve created the Meet Your Maker event.
If you’ve jumped into Dead by Daylight recently, you may have noticed something curious on the map: Genmats.
They resemble strange, glowing machines. Thankfully, if you’re trying to find Genmats in Dead by Daylight, it’s hard to miss these Meet Your Maker event items. They are a good size; once you walk up to one, you can promptly interact with them. From there, it will vanish and you also gain some slight sparkles floating around you.
Now, once you start a Trial, you will soon hear an auditory cue. This high-pitched sound stands out, and this indicates that the Genmats have now spawned.
These Genmats are located just about anywhere on the map. You can check inside buildings and even next to Generators. In fact, you may even find Genmats during the Meet Your Maker event sitting right out there in the open on any Dead by Daylight map.
When you do get a Genmat, you should be able to notice the auras of other Survivors and the Killer. Of course, if the Killer swipes up a Genmat, the same holds true for them. It’s a double-edged blade that can hinder or hurt you depending on how you play.
That’s not all you can benefit from if you find the Genmats during the Dead by Daylight Meet Your Maker event. You can earn three unique charms designed like different Meet Your Maker characters. However, you will only earn the reward if you survive the match. Take a look at one of the charms below courtesy of YouTuber Paulie Esther:
Since Behaviour Interactive only teased the Meet Your Maker event, there is no real start date or information. We can assume more details will be released in the upcoming week or so since Meet Your Maker launches in early April.
Dead by Daylight is available on PC, PS5 and PS4, Xbox One and Series, Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android.
