Dead Cells, the critically acclaimed 2018 roguelike Metroidvania action-platformer, is getting a new DLC. Motion Twin and Evil Empire released a trailer for the DLC, titled Fatal Falls, earlier today. It releases on January 26. The DLC will add a significant amount of content to the base game and cost $4.99. You will be able to explore two new mid-game biomes, The Fractured Shrines, and The Undying Shores. There will be eight new enemies, including the Clumsy Swordsman and the Compulsive Gravedigger, and seven new weapons to use against them. There will also be 10 new outfits. A Celebration of Dead Cells

To celebrate the release of Fatal Falls, the developers have announced a new bundle as well as discounts on Dead Cells content across all digital platforms. Dead Cells: The Fatal Seed Bundle will release on January 26. It is currently available for pre-order on the Nintendo Switch eShop for 33% off. The bundle will receive the same discount across all other platforms on launch day. It includes all 20 previous free updates for the game as well as both DLC packs. The first DLC pack, The Bad Seed, released last February and is normally $4.99.

Dead Cells Fatal Falls DLC

It isn’t just the bundle that’s receiving a discount. For anyone looking to try the game for the first time, Dead Cells will be half off at $12.49. The Bad Seed will be 30% off at $3.49, its first-ever discount. Discounts will go live on January 26 and last through mid-February. However, specific dates may vary slightly across different platforms. So be sure to keep an eye out on whichever platform you use.

First released in 2018, Dead Cells received praise from critics and players alike due to its fast-paced gameplay and weapon variety.
