As you make your way through Dead Island 2, you’ll notice that there are lockbox and key locations throughout all of Beverly Hills. The lockboxes are fairly easy to find since they can be found on the map, but the keys are quite a bit more difficult to find for each of them. Most of the time, you will have to complete additional story quests in order to even unlock the ability to get the keys, which are typically dropped from stronger-named enemies within the area. Keep reading to learn where to find all Beverly Hills lockbox and key locations in Dead Island 2.

As you make your way into Beverly Hills from Michael’s place, you will soon come across a large empty house if you’re heading to the West. venture toward the house into the garage attached to it. Within the house, you will find the Garage Safe.

In order to get the key for the Garage Safe, you will have to take down a zombie named the Nosy Neighbor. You can find her at night to the North of Farouk’s house after you complete the Resurrect the Rex side quest. Once you take her down, you can pick up the Garage Safe key from the ground where she drops.

During the O Michaels, Where Art Thou quest, you will have to head inside Michael’s house, where you will come across a certain zombie named Michael’s Protege. For this Lockbox, you must get the key before you can access the lockbox itself. From inside Michael’s house, you will notice Michael’s Protege through one of the windows in the house. Head outside, take her out and collect Michael’s Safe Key.

To access Michael’s Safe, you must complete the Michael Anders and the Holy Grail quest first. Once you have, you can head back into the house and unlock the safe with the key you have already collected to obtain a modded Chef’s Knife.

The next lockbox you come across will be located in the Water Treatment Facility within Beverly Hills in Dead Island 2. This one will be fairly easy to get past, as there aren’t any quest prerequisites for it aside from the Justifiable Zombicide quest, where you unlock the area. You can find the Brentwood Waste Bin within the Water Treatment Facility, and the key will be very close by.

Head back outside once it is nighttime, and you will see a zombie named Brentwood Staff wandering around the area. Take down the Brentwood Staff zombie, and it will drop the Brentwood Waste Bin key.

The next Beverly Hills Lockbox can be found within the “Caustic House.” This is the house near the center of the map that was converted into an Army research location. You will encounter plenty of Slobbers, Caustic-X, and Deadly Zombies here. Inside the house, you can find the Secure Bio Container lockbox, but you won’t be able to access it without a key. In order to get this key, you will have to take out SSG Hernandez, a level 20+ Zombie.

In order to take out SSG Hernandez, you will likely have to leave the area and come back a while later when you have leveled up enough to take the zombie on successfully. You can find Hernandez toward the end of the street that the Caustic House sits on. Once he is down, collect the Secure Bio Container Key and head back inside to open the lockbox to collect the Acid Rain weapon perk.

To get the key, you must take down a Crusher-type zombie called Party Bouncer. Party Bouncer can be found on the back patio of Rikky’s house. Once he is down, you can collect the Bouncer Key from him and go to unlock the Party Contraband Case.

The Nikki’s Bounty Reward Lockbox can be found within Nikki’s House. However, you can’t access the inside of Nikki Gutte’s house until you make your way through the Justifiable Zombicide quest when Sam breaks down the door to get inside. Once you’re inside, you can find the safe within Nikki’s closet, but you can’t open it yet.

To collect the key for Nikki’s Bounty Reward, you must track down a Butcher-type zombie named Target Practice that can be found anywhere around Beverly Hills. Once Target Practice has been dealt with, you can collect the key and head back to open Nikki’s Bounty Reward, revealing the Superior Ranged Liquidator mod blueprint and the Extinction Event weapon.

During the Kwon With the Wind quest, you can head inside the house under construction, where you will find the lockbox. Though you won’t be able to open this Lockbox for quite a while, still.

After encountering Mutator zombies for the first time, you can head back to the Construction Site, where you can find Site Foreman, a named Mutator zombie who holds the key to the safe.
