After a messy game development marathon, Dead Island 2 seems to get ready for the PC release. We shared a few statements from the developers before, and they confidently stated that the development isn’t that bad. The community had the right to choose not to believe because of all the unfulfilled promises. Still, the developers took another step today and revealed the system requirements of Dead Island 2. The game is only a few days away, and these specifications will give you an idea about what kind of experience you should expect.
Dead Island 2 PC System Requirements Revealed
Minimum (1080p, 30 fps):
- CPU: AMD FX-9590 or Intel Core i7 7700HQ
- RAM: 10GB
- GPU: AMD Radeon RX 480 or GeForce GTX 1060
- Storage: 70GB
Recommended (1080p, 60 fps):

High (1440p, 60 fps):

- RAM: 16GB
- GPU: AMD Radeon RX 6750 XT or GeForce RTX 3070

Ultra (4K, 60 fps):
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 7900X or Intel Core i7 13700K

- GPU: AMD Radeon RX 6950 XT or GeForce RTX 3090
- Storage: 70GB
It’s worth noting that 30FPS gaming isn’t for everyone. It’s a framerate usually used in the consoles, not close to the monitor and with a gamepad, so you might just want to focus on the 60FPS requirements because that’s how the action and survival games have fun on the PC. The other thing we see in these lists is that 8GB RAM isn’t enough. 10GB of RAM gives you an entry-level experience, and the recommended is 16GB. Therefore we can say that Dead Island 2 clearly has killer game graphics.
The game also supports Nvidia DLSS and AMD FSR2. Sadly, those features won’t work for those using entry-level computer specifications. We are only glad that the storage need isn’t high, with a small catch. You’ll only get a smooth experience with an SSD, so forget to install it into your classic, slow hard drive.
