This article is over 7 years old and may contain outdated information.

Ever since it was announced that Josh Brolin would be starring as Cable in Deadpool 2, hype for the movie has been at an all-time high. Now, a few hours after the release of the latest trailer, Deadpool 2, Meet Cable, there is even more excitement drummed up for the upcoming anti-hero film, and its all in part to…Terry Crews!

Ok, it’s not just Crews that makes the trailer great, as we get to see Deadpool mock cable with a Toy Story parody almost immediately, but he was certainly a welcome surprise.

Deadpool, Meet Cable

In the trailer above, Terry Crews’ character can be seen briefly on the edge of a cargo plane next to Deadpool, Domino, and two other unknown characters – though one is possibly Shatterstar. While nothing is known at this time, speculation dictates that he will play none other than G. W. Bridge. What’s that short for? Only the coolest character name ever, George Washington Bridge.

In the X-Force comics, G. W. Bridge was a member of the mercenary group led by Cable known as the Wild Pack, later known as the Six Pack. Bridge was also a major of S.H.I.E.L.D, working alongside Nick Fury.

The character is certainly an obscure one. Honestly though, the choice fits with the movie series well, as Deadpool helped make lesser-known X-Men Colossus and Teenage Negasonic Warhead into more than back-burner sidekicks.

G. W. Bridge

Alongside Cable and Crews, Deadpool 2, Meet Cable showed off plenty of other interesting information fans can look forward to for Deadpool 2. Favorites from the original are back, from Blind Al to Dopinder, with plenty new faces to win over crowds as well – including a child double flipping the bird.

Nothing beats the videos actual description though, which, again, takes a shot at Superman. This time it’s in regards to a certain facial issue that occurred in the Justice League.

After surviving a near fatal bovine attack, a disfigured cafeteria chef (Wade Wilson) struggles to fulfill his dream of becoming Mayberry’s hottest bartender while also learning to cope with his lost sense of taste. Searching to regain his spice for life, as well as a flux capacitor, Wade must battle ninjas, the yakuza, and a pack of sexually aggressive canines, as he journeys around the world to discover the importance of family, friendship, and flavor – finding a new taste for adventure and earning the coveted coffee mug title of World’s Best Lover.

Deadpool 2 will release May 18, 2018, starring Ryan Reynolds and Josh Brolin.
