This article is over 1 years old and may contain outdated information.

Death Must Die lets players challenge Death itself. To do this, you will have to play as one of 5 unique characters. Each of them has unique weapons, and skills. In addition, during a run, you can create a build that suits you by collecting items and receiving blessings from powerful gods. But of course, players are concerned with the main question, who is the best character? Therefore, we created our Death Must Die tier list in which we ranked the characters from best to good since they are all quite worthy of consideration.

In total, Death Must Die has 5 characters with unique classes. While some are fast but have weak defenses, others are almost fortresses with weapons in their hands. Although they are approximately equal in strength, some are much easier to play than others. Therefore, we ranked the heroes from the easiest to handle to the most complex in our Death Must Die tier list.

HeroTierClassWeaponDescription
KrontS-TierBarbarianAxeKront wears heavy armor and can deal AoE Damage, surviving even the toughest battles.
Nixi S-TierAssassinTwo KnivesAs an assassin, Nixi has good mobility and can attack multiple targets at once. She can also survive battles, or rather evade them.
AvoronA-TierKnightSwordAvoron also wears heavy armor, but is significantly weaker than the Barbarian.
Skadi A-TierWarriorGreatswordSkadi is something between Kront and Nixi. In other words, it is a versatile character, but you will have to work hard to create a powerful build for the late game.
MerrisB-TierSorceressStaffMerris is the only ranged character. But as befits her class, her defense is weak, which is why you need certain skills to survive playing her.

Who Is the Best Character in Death Must Die?

Well, as we said, each character has a unique gameplay, but they are not inferior in strength to each other in Death Must Die. At the same time, some heroes may have complex gameplay, especially before unlocking Signs.

It was easiest for us to play as Kront and Nixi. The barbarian has high survivability and can attack with AoE, making it easier to kill hordes of enemies. On the other hand, Nixi is the fastest character in Death Must Die and, despite the daggers, attacks at medium range. Thus, it is easy to play as an assassin because you just avoid most attacks.

That’s all you need to know about the Death Must Die character tier list. Even though there are only 5 of them in the game so far, every player will be able to find their favorite hero.
