With the release date rapidly approaching, Hideo Kojima and Kojima Productions released the final trailer for Death Stranding Director’s Cut. Just a warning, the trailer below does include spoilers for the game as a whole, so watch with your own discretion.

The updated version of Death Stranding includes a ton of exciting new content alongside quality-of-life adjustments. The synopsis is as follows:

In the future, a mysterious event known as the DEATH STRANDING has opened a doorway between the living and the dead, leading to grotesque creatures from the afterlife roaming the fallen world marred by a desolate society.

Take on the trials of Sam Bridges with advanced combat, explore new locations with extra missions and minigames, experience an extended storyline and much more.”

Along with audio and graphical upgrades, Death Stranding Director’s Cut will also be updated with Dualsense haptic feedback for the controllers. The game has also been filled with new equipment, like a cargo launcher, and new weapons. Players can test their skills against others in shooting ranges, replayable boss battles, and, oddly enough, a race track. New “action-packed” missions have also been added to the director’s cut.

Death Stranding Director’s Cut will release on September 24 for PlayStation 5, and preorders are available now. The standard version is available for $49.99; the Digital Deluxe Edition version is $59.99 and is full of digital goodies. Players will be able to upgrade their existing PS4 purchase to Director’s Cut Digital Edition for $10.

Death Stranding was originally released in November 2019 for the PlayStation 4 and has since become available on PC through both Steam and the Epic Games Store.
