Deceased Oregon Father’s Mistress Doesn’t Know About His Predicament, ‘Call Me a Terrible Person For This All You Want’

Oh, she’s really out of the loop

Some secrets you take to the grave. Sometimes, these secrets aren’t really a big secret at all, and families actually know what’s going on behind their backs. An Oregon woman took to TikTok to share a story that has brought a little humor to her life during a difficult time. When her father passed away, his mistress of several decades was not made aware of it. She’s now trying to keep this secret as long as possible.

Cass (@cassdamm on TikTok) revealed her father tragically passed away due to suicide and her family decided to keep the matter private. However, her deceased father had a mistress of 30 years (yes, you heard that correctly) doesn’t know he passed away. Instead, she allegedly thinks he’s just ghosting her—and, in a way, he kind of is—but not by choice. As Cass puts it very bluntly, “Nothing makes me happier right now than knowing that my dad’s mistress does not know that he’s dead.”

Cass explained the whole tale in her video about her deceased father and the mistress he kept around for so long. She said, “My dad has literally had the same mistress since I was a kid in the ‘90s. OK? He’s kept this woman through multiple wives. Actually, she was a wife for a little bit.” Apparently, the relationship was not built to last, and he cheated on the soon-to-be mistress with another mistress.

After her father cheated, he “got somebody else pregnant. So my grandma made him leave her and marry the woman he got pregnant. But then he still kept her as a mistress. Don’t worry, she still got to stick around.”

On the delicate matter, Cass opens up and says it brings her pleasure knowing the mistress doesn’t know what’s happening. She went on to say, “I know that the woman is sitting there texting him. Calling him. She’s showing up at his house… wondering why he has not talked to her in weeks.”

Several commenters were left baffled by Cass’s story but supportive in the face of what happened. One person reprimanded the mystery woman, “Being a mistress for 30 years is absolutely diabolical.” Another asked, “How are you a mistress for 30 YEARS?! Like are you not embarrassed.”

One commenter made a good point when they joked, “I’m in South Africa & I’ve received the news before the mistress. Damn.” It’s a long way from Oregon to South Africa, too. This led to many people saying the mistress is probably in-the-know now because her video went viral. However, Cass said she finds that hard to believe because the mistress has openly criticized social media and believes TikTok is “of the devil.”

Cass stated it’s unlikely the mistress is any wiser of her deceased lover. Though I have sympathy for Cass in the face of her loss and family struggles, the whole situation does make for a hilarious story. Maybe Oregon isn’t so boring after all.
