The terrible year of 2020 is ending soon, but that doesn’t mean there’s nothing else to look forward to. Today, Nintendo brings a few surprises from fan-favorite titles via the December Switch Indie World Showcase. From an Among Us Switch port, Super Meat Boy sequel, to a Spelunky bundle, here are all of the announcements from the 2020 December Switch Indie World Showcase.
December Switch Indie World December Release: Among Us
The viral “survival social-deduction game” comes to Nintendo Switch at last — starting today! Work together to complete tasks on a spaceship before the imposter sabotages or takes out the other players. Cross-play with mobile and PC is available but you’ll still need Nintendo Switch Online membership for online features.
Grindstone
Well-known for Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery and Super Time Force, Capybara Games is bringing their hit mobile puzzle-battler Grindstone onto Nintendo Switch today. Within more than 200 brutal levels, overcome devious enemies, obstacles, and bosses while racking up combos, grinding precious Grindstones, then cash them in for new gears as you conquer Grindstone Mountain.
Calico
If you ever wanted to play as magical girls and manage a cafe with cuddly animals as its customers, this comfy title is definitely for you. Fill a cozy cafe with cute creatures, charming furniture, festive decorations, and yummy pastries. Calico is coming to Switch later today as well.
Super Meat Boy Forever
After 10 long years, the highly anticipated sequel to Super Meat Boy is finally arriving soon. Super Meat Boy Forever will launch as a Switch exclusive on December 23. In this game, Meat Boy and Bandage Girl’s daughter, Nugget, has been kidnapped. As the good daddy that you are, you have to run a gauntlet of challenges through several worlds containing thousands of hand-constructed levels that will surely create a unique experience with each save.
December Switch Indie World Early 2021 Release: Cyber Shadow
Need more cyberpunk in your life? You don’t have to wait for long, action-platformer Cyber Shadow is coming to Switch on January 26, 2021. Dash, slice, and leap your way through Mekacity, a futuristic world that has been taken over by synthetic lifeforms. The game also has a cross-over where you can scan a Shovel Knight amiibo to unlock a little help from a familiar friend.
Tunche
Tunche is a 2D, local co-operative beat-em-up game set in the Amazon Rainforest, arriving first on Switch in March 2021 with PC and
Very Very Valet
As its title stands, you’ll play as a valet in this frantic, four-player couch-coop party game. Get behind the wheel, pick up, park, and return cars to their owners — whatever it takes. Very Very Valet will be released as a timed exclusive for Nintendo Switch in early 2021.
Gnosia

Want to test your social-deducting skill before jumping on an Among Us match? In this one-of-a-kind sci-fi adventure game, a spaceship is overtaken by aliens who morph into humans. Play against up to 14 NPCs and reveal their lies when Gnosia launches on Switch in early 2021.
December Switch Indie World 2021 Spring Release: Fisti-Fluffs
Turn the playroom into a kitten battleground in this physics-based party game. Whack, pounce, smack, and launch objects to prove your wobbly cat is the best cat in the house. Featuring local co-op with online multiplayer coming later, Fisti-Fluffs launches first on Nintendo Switch in spring 2021.
Happy Game
Solve and endure unnerving puzzles and visuals to earn your sweet dreams in the disturbing indie title Happy Game. Developed by the Czech-based Amanita Design known for the Samorost series, Happy Game launches for Nintendo Switch in spring 2021.
Alba
From ustwo games, the award-winning studio that created Monument Valley comes a new open-world experience in Alba: A Wildlife Adventure. Join the titular Alba as she’s trying to save her beloved Mediterranean island from danger. Recruit volunteers, heal sick animals, and clean up the wilderness when the game comes to Switch in spring 2021.
Spelunky and Spelunky 2
The classic indie Metroidvania Spelunky and its sequel, Spelunky 2, will launch in summer 2021. Plunge your way into the unknown through treacherous tunnels and caverns with only your wits and survival supplies you find along the way. Watch out for dangerous creatures like leprechauns, ghosts, flying fish, and galloping turkeys that will try to hinder your adventure.
