Deep Rock Galactic has today launched its May 12 update over on PlayStation platforms, so here’s the full list of changes and fixes with this patch. It’s important to note out of the gate that today’s update doesn’t change much at all for the game. Deep Rock Galactic itself isn’t a bad game at all, so fixes often aren’t going to be too plentiful unless deployed with a major update like a new Rival Incursion. As such, there are only a few fixes for today on the PlayStation version of the game. Despite that, hopefully, you’re enjoying the latest content update for the game! Without further adieu, here’s everything new with Deep Rock Galactic in its May 12 update.

Deep Rock Galactic May 12 Update Patch Notes
Deep Rock Galactic Heroes

  • Cross-gen save transfer (PS4 to PS5) now works again
  • Supporter pack chat icon and beer now work again
  • Several important crash fixes.

Despite it being so few changes, these changes are at least somewhat meaningful. The most meaningful of all, the update bringing back cross-gen save transfer, is massive for those looking to update their console to the newest generation. Having to start all over again in a game like Deep Rock Galactic can be a real pain, so having that feature up and running again is a big plus. The supporter pack chat icon and beer working again, while nothing major, is good to have back for those who put in the extra money to support the developers. Beyond that, a host of important crash fixes is important, improving the overall performance of the game and allowing it to run more consistently. We all know how bad game crashes can be. That’s all for this week though, so hopefully, we’ll see something more next week.

Deep Rock Galactic and the May 12 PlayStation update are available on PlayStation platforms, with the game also available on PC and Xbox. For more information regarding this update, check out the official Twitter post.
