The country has been facing some crazy times lately, with tensions between the states and our allies, Russia and Ukraine, and DOGE cutting everything to the bone. Minnesota has been a hotbed of activity lately, between the great Lakes up North, ICE Agents running amok, and massive wins in local government. The train doesn’t stop rolling, as a citizen wrote in to a congresswoman, and she actually responded with a fiery message.
A user, going by the name Danger_Zone06 created a Reddit post in the r/Minnesota page where he explained they wrote a letter to their local representative, and they actually sent him back a response. In the letter, congresswoman Kelly Morrison shared her concern over rElon Musk and Donald Trump and what they are doing with the government. This is some of what she had to say.
Thank you for reaching out to our office to share your thoughts about Elon Musk’s deeply concerning and unaccountable role in the Trumpo-Vance Administration. I share your concern about Elon Musk having access to sensitive Treasurey data and I condemn President Trump for giving him access to your private data. I am committed to doing all I can to call out and push back again this dangerous attack on our democracy.
You can read the full letter in the post above, but it is a very fiery response with a crystal clear sentiment to push back. Several folks in the Reddit page shared responses from their Minnesota representatives and some choice comments as well.
“Oh, it’s definitely posturing. Not much else she can do as a freshmen rep.”
“Here’s my dumb ass representatives response. Hiding behind his interns and emails while yucking it up with MAGA”
“I wrote to my rep, Tom Emmer. You know, the guy who just no-showed for a virtual town hall? Guess what kind of response i got? Go ahead, guess.”
“They don’t need legislation (which will be blocked anyway). What they’re doing is already absurdly illegal. THROW 👏 THEM 👏 IN 👏 JAIL 👏”
People are fired up, and politicians on both sides are in this battle for the long haul, but only time will tell if anything comes from these letters, as it will take far more than words alone to make change happen.
