Ever since the Cleveland Browns traded for Deshaun Watson, they have yet to see him at 100 percent. The former Texans quarterback was first handed a suspension for an ongoing lawsuit. The very next season, he was shut down after breaking his shoulder. However, the 2024-25 season may be Watson’s chance to prove himself to NFL fans once again. It seems like the QB is making some pretty bold plans, as seen with his new back tattoos.
According to TMZ, Watson has completely covered his back with tattoos. The art includes portraits of his long-time girlfriend, Jilly Anasis, and his mother. It also includes other family members. The signal caller’s new ink also has images of Martin Luther King Jr. and even Popeye.
Deshaun Watson and the Cleveland Browns Are in the Hunt for a Championship
The one tattoo that has fans all riled up is a Super Bowl ring. Off the bat, that doesn’t seem like that big of a deal. However, the ring is left blank so Deshaun Watson can get it filled in after he wins a championship.
A move like this requires a lot of confidence, even more so if fans consider that the Cleveland Browns have never even made a Super Bowl appearance, let alone won one. However, the Browns’ championship window has just opened, and they have a very talented roster. Now, all of the pressure lies on the shoulders of their quarterback.
Watson has confirmed that the new ink took around nine hours to complete. The athlete was so happy with how it turned out that, in addition to paying, he also threw in a signed Browns jersey as a thank-you gift.
Deshaun Watson and the Cleveland Browns have had a lot of troubles. However, they are looking to put that all behind them as they compete for their first Super Bowl appearance and hopefully win. Only time will tell what this future holds for this organization. One thing is for sure though, Watson and the Browns have a whole city behind them.
