Now, he’s the talk of the state again after proposing hotel taxes and infrastructure. Although the proposal sounds great to many, few seem convinced to vote for him, as some of his past comments are still haunting him.
Byron Donalds gave an interview in which he discussed his plans for hotel taxes in Florida. According to the Florida Times Daily, the candidate wants to use hotel taxes for infrastructure and transportation.
Although most people consider the proposal great, reactions have been mixed, with many leaning negative.
According to Reddit comments and many potential voters, they still don’t want to vote for Byron Donalds because of other proposals he has discussed, mainly those involving data centers.
People think that Byron Donalds has a few contradictory ideas. For instance, building Data Centers would affect the state a lot, as these are huge projects that will likely create more traffic, affect the weather, and so on. Yet he also talks about improving infrastructure with hotel taxes and even designating some of that to transportation. So, as you can see, the ideas clash a bit.
Some in Florida Are Still Not Convinced About Byron Donalds
Given the promising proposal, many would think that people would feel more positive toward Byron Donalds, but that doesn’t seem to be the case, at least on the state’s subreddit.

Even if some still aren’t on board with the idea of Byron Donalds as a candidate, the polls seem to say otherwise. Right now, Byron Donalds is at 44% with Jolly at 43%. So, despite the mixed reactions, the Republican candidate could come out a winner.
