In Destiny 2, Fishing Rally: Throne World is a quest attached to Season of the Deep. It’s a fun change of pace as it sends you off on a fishing trip. However, it’s not just any standard fishing trip. Hawthorne believes something is wrong with the fish in Savathun’s Throne World. So, your new job is to investigate them. It’s up to you to catch hundreds of fish. There are some great rewards available too. We’ll guide you through the Fishing Rally quest so you know what to expect.

Destiny 2 Fishing Rally Throne World – Tier Guide

Season of the Deep introduces Destiny 2 players to the world of fishing. There are several fishing spots around the map, and catching various fish earns you different rewards.

The Destiny 2 Fishing Rally: Throne World quest gives you quite the fishing challenge. It’s straightforward: catch a certain amount of fish to earn points to complete the individual tiers. It is time-consuming, but there is no real reason to grind the quest as it offers some generic rewards. However, if you want a way to pass the time while you fish, you can go through the tiers listed below: 

  1. Participation
  2. Bronze
  3. Silver
  4. Gold
  5. Platinum

You will unlock Destiny 2 Fishing Rally quest once you get further with the Into the Depths weekly quests. During the Week 5 quests, the Fishing Rally will unlock when you speak to Hawthorne in the Tower.

When you’re participating, you must reach a certain score to move to the next tier. Each type of fish is worth a different amount of points. If you focus on the better fish, you can get through the challenge faster. The score points for the fish are in the list below:

  • Exotic Fish: 20 points
  • Legendary Fish: 5 points
  • Rare Fish: 2 points
  • Uncommon Fish: 1 point

Participation Tier

Before reaching the main tiers, you must catch the stated number of fish to join the quest. It takes 100 points to get through the Participation tier.

Reward: Upgrade Module

Bronze Tier

For the Bronze tier, you must score another 100 points. It will leave you with 200 points in total.

Reward: Enhancement Core

Silver Tier

In the Destiny 2 Fishing Rally Silver tier, you must get another 100 points. So, continue fishing as usual and hope you catch more Exotic level fish to quicken the process. At the end of this tier, you will have 300 points.

Reward: Deep Engram

Gold Tier

The Gold tier needs 400 points in all. It’s fishing as usual at this stage.

Reward: Enhancement Prism

Platinum Tier

For the final tier, you will end Destiny 2 Fishing Rally Throne World quest with 500 points. Now, you can return to Hawthorne. Just speak to her, and you will finish the quest.

Reward: Legendary Gear
