Alright, Guardians, it is time to jump back into the fight. During today’s live stream, Destiny 2 unveiled the many things coming to Heresy, Act 1. While we were all expecting the gameplay additions, there were other surprises for Destiny 2, including a brand-new Star Wars collab and the return of one of the Hive’s most iconic ships. As always, it is time to grab your gear and prepare for yet another adventure in this never-ending galaxy.
Destiny 2: Heresy, Act 1 Launches on February 4
Let’s kick off with the important bit: the release date for Destiny 2: Heresy, Act 1. This update will launch on February 4. This update will bring a new Echo, the Dreadnaught, one of the Hive’s most iconic ships, new weapons and gear, The Nether, and on February 7, the Sundered Doctrine Dungeon Race. As you can see, Heresy will be packed with content, and many players will want to jump straight into it to grab all the new goodies coming to the game.
The highlight of the update is the new Nether mode, which mixes exploration, combat, and escalating difficulty. It will feature a bit of the rogue-lite elements players have seen in previous game modes like The Coil and Deep Dives. So, if you want a new game mode that constantly changes and offers a varied challenge, The Nether will be a great addition.
Outfits From a Galaxy Far, Far Away
The next surprise was the announcement of the Star Wars collaboration with Destiny 2. There will be three new armor sets, which means there is one for each class, as well as other Star Wars-themed accessories for players to grab. These items will launch alongside Heresy, Act 1, on February 4. If you’re a fan of one of the most iconic sci-fi universes out there, you should watch out for this Imperial-themed outfit that will give your Guardian a fearsome look as you enter the Hive-infested areas of Heresy.
Last but not least, Game2Give 2025 is officially up and will bring donation incentives, such as an exclusive emblem, emote, and sparrow. This event will have live streams with challenges, giveaways, and even an auction featuring rare items. Those who pre-order the shirt and emblem bundle will see some of the money being donated to the California Fire Foundation and Direct Relief to help those affected by the recent fires.
